Mindanao Toy Convention 2011

Held in Gaisano Mall, Bajada, Davao City, this post covers the cosplay part of the event. JUST the cosplay part.

Forgive the incompetence, I am not a saint.

Before I get into the meat of the post though, I have one thing to ask of the Gmall people. Please management, learn to value your customers and provide some damn SEATS! You can't just ask your customers to provide their own foldable benches and mini monobloc chairs.

Now all that is done ...

I can't believe this thing's formatting. Oh, and that Iron Man isn't a real cosplayed character. It's a toy, but you know it already.

I admire this guy. I know he's wearing school pants, I know it's his first time cosplaying, and I know him by sight. He may have thought it was the most embarrassing thing he had ever done, but I respect him.

I believe this guy told a story based on L4D. I would really have enjoyed the story if it was a group presentation. Sorry bro, one-man acts don't cut it unless you're a pro stand-up comedian or an eloquent politician. Ups to you though.

I really enjoyed this presentation. Only gripe was that the kiddie trooper froze on stage half the time and didn't pick up some cues. 7/10 though. When I took on the mask, it was kind of hard to breathe in too, so I feel you.

All in all, good cosplay event. Gripes? Blogspot's horrible formatting (see I told you this crap website really isn't good for something like this, let's move to wix or something) and choice of venue. Metro Ave once again please, or something similar? Please AMBOX, I know you can make it happen.
